Aschaffenburg, 19th December 2012 – The Diamond of Furniture Award 2013 is the most prestigious award in the Polish furniture design, furniture and components industry and was awarded for the seventh time this year.

Organizers are the web portal www.meble.pl and the furniture magazine Biznesmeble.pl. 150 products were evaluated by a jury consisting of 75 experts (architects, furniture industry, interior designers, journalists, scientists). The decor Nefis Walnut from impress won in the category “furniture components”.

The ceremony took place on 12th of December 2012 in Warsaw.

The 4th dimension is the environment in which we move. We perceive time in terms of change. With each stage, our perspective changes and everything appears in a new light. As time moves on constantly, sometimes faster, sometimes slower, we neither stand still physically or mentally, but change according to our requirements and preferences.

Every moment, every experience contributes to our knowledge and visions. If we consciously create these moments, they gain importance and authenticity. Place, time and aesthetics are in tune; intellect and emotions become one.

Based on this knowledge, the new impress design concept works with the idea of time – the time we have to ourselves and the time we spend with others. The time of growing-up requires a different kind of energy than the time of maturity. Activity needs an open space, intimacy needs a protective setting. Communication demands openness whilst recreation requires peace.

The impress collections take these needs into account. The colours and structures of “Time is Recreation“ are quiet and light, sensitive and harmonious. The decor world of “Time is Togetherness“ is stimulating, fresh, open and vital. For us “Time is Concentration“ is clear, transparent, full of character and subtle.

As the compact atmosphere of the world of decor becomes apparent during the development of colours and structures, new interpretations unfold and nuances find their right place.

The surface has gained disproportionately high importance over the past years. It is no longer perceived as a cosmetic, somewhat colourful but functionless accessory matter. Today we know that we obtain our first emotional access to any object through its surface. The visual quality and surface feel are of highest importance.

As design-oriented decor printers we develop surfaces that visualize the zeitgeist. We aim to support our customers with the right product at the right time. In the development of the collection we therefore pay particular attention to well-coordinated structure and colour ranges. Whether in furniture design or in the design of new flooring – the need of our customers for attractive and commercially successful products is always our utmost priority. And once again we are inviting our visitors to join us on an inspiring journey through the newest decor worlds.

We not only prioritize the development of decors; for us the combination of structures and 3-D effects is just as important. A sense of wonder can only be achieved in the creation of authenticity that takes all facets of the surface design into consideration.

As a modern company we are constantly aware of the fact that environmental sustainability and the conservation of resources are currently playing a decisive role in the development of new products. This is why we are continuously testing new technologies in our laboratories, in order to meet this challenge.

For more than three years impress has been offering itec foils as part of its range. This effect foil with its extraordinary optical and haptic properties can, in many instances, replace real wood veneer.

With our innovative product “IPL” – Impress Paper Lam – we have succeeded in developing an impregnation that, with considerable savings in energy, enables our customers to produce laminates of outstanding quality.

We’d also like to mention the current Austrian Environmental Award where impress was able to score points with its environmentally-friendly melamine mix, which replaces petroleum-based resins with molasses (a by-product of sugar refining).

The development of new surfaces can only be a successful symbiosis of the latest technology, environmentally-friendly production processes and modern design. As an innovative and future-oriented company we see it as our task to convey this process in its entirety and to live by it on a daily basis.

Impress decor GmbH zaprezentowała się po raz pierwszy na Targach Designu “moodFORM” w Polsce. Targi odbyły się w dniach 27-30 maja 2010 r. Dzięki swoim innowacyjnym projektom “arena DESIGN” i “Top Design Awards 2010” targi mogły wnieść niepowtarzalne akcenty w świat nowoczesnego kreowania produktów. Dwa z zaprojektowanych przez impress dekorów (”Shimo Ash” i “Xysta”) zostały nawet wybrane przez niezależne jury ekspertów na kandydatów do “Top Design Award 2010”.

Wydarzenie mogło poszczycić się wysokiej klasy osobistościami. Obok znanych nazwisk, takich jak prof. Luigi Collani wymienić należy w szczególności Karima Rashida, który wygłosił inspirującą mowę na temat designu jako części codziennego życia.

Dyrektor Impress Design Daniele Merla wygłosił podczas tego wydarzenia wykład o „Koncepcie Siedmiu Miast” i inspirujących źródłach dotyczących projektowania nowych papierów wzorniczych, powstających pod wpływem kulturalnym, duchowym i estetycznym wielkich miast. Na przykładzie Curitiby, z europejskiego punktu widzenia miasta bardzo egzotycznego, zaprezentował on zbiór wrażeń i nastrojów z nadzwyczajnych miejsc, które były dla niego inspiracją do wykreowania nowych wzorów z brazylijską nutą (Amazonas, Shimo Ash i Olympia).

Stworzona przez “impress Design” artystyczna wizualizacja trzech etapów procesu kreowania stanowiła przy tym główny wątek wykładu oraz połączenie pomiędzy informacją i funkcjonalną, nowoczesną sztuką.
