impressIONS 2025: Two nights of Creativity, Connection, and Movement
While the Interzum 2025 trade fair pulsed with innovation during the day, Impress reserved the evenings for something truly special: two exclusive impressIONS events that brought partners and customers together for a captivating journey of design, connection, and immersive storytelling.
Held at the atmospheric Dock 2 in Cologne, the events offered more than just a dinner—they delivered an experience designed to awaken the senses and stir the imagination.
Guests were welcomed into a purpose-built showroom space, setting the tone for the evening ahead. Upon arrival, attendees had the chance to create a personalized magazine-style cover photo as a keepsake—a fun nod to the theme of the night.
As the event began, Sascha Kostros, Head of Decor Management at Impress, officially unveiled Impress’s new communication concept, “MOVE – Navigate The New.” With a dramatic curtain reveal, the MOVE letters appeared, marking the start of a night dedicated to transformation and creativity.
The energy shifted instantly as Linda Theodosiu took the stage, delivering a powerful live performance of the original MOVE song—an anthem of change that set a dynamic tone. Guests clapped along to the rhythm, creating a sense of unity and momentum that resonated through the room.
A cinematic short film followed, offering a first glimpse into the MOVE philosophy: a call to embrace change, rediscover our adaptability, and turn transformation into opportunity. It’s a concept that reflects not only the evolution of design but also the shifting expectations of how we live, create, and connect.
Throughout the evening, Mr Kostros served as a guiding voice, moderating the event and offering key insights into the vision behind MOVE. His introductions tied together each moment, creating a cohesive narrative that unfolded with elegance and intent.
A standout moment came when Impress’s international design team took the stage to share the creative foundation of MOVE. They introduced the four trend directions—Establish & Build, Reminisce & Restore, Seek & Play, and Engage & Immerse—each reflecting a unique emotional and aesthetic response to today’s changing world. Through vivid storytelling and visual demonstrations, the designers unpacked how these trends are shaping materials, interiors, and the future of design.
The presentation was highlighted by the reveal of ten highlight decors: Leon Oak, Patras, Ramsey Oak, Hanmer Walnut, Bareilly Teak, Rilinon, Demerara, Bubble Onyx, Calcatta Gold, and Caldoresco—each reflecting the spirit and direction of MOVE.
Just when the audience thought they’d seen it all, Philo Kotnik, The Mindgamist, took the stage. With clever tricks and a touch of mystery, he amazed everyone—ending with a final reveal: the number 21041. When turned around, it spelled MOVE, leaving the crowd amazed.
The night closed on a high note, as a live DJ set transformed the space into a dance floor, keeping the energy alive and moving late into the evening.
impressIONS was a celebration of everything MOVE stands for: dynamism, emotion, transformation, and the beauty of creative movement. It was a moment to connect, reflect, and set our sights on what’s next—with momentum.
