MOVE, Sense The Spark comes to life at ForMóbile 2026
ForMóbile 2026 brought the furniture and woodworking industry together at São Paulo Expo, creating an important platform for new ideas, product launches and meaningful connections across the Latin American market.
During the fair, Impress Decor Brasil presented MOVE, sense the spark, transforming the idea of creation into an immersive experience shaped by movement, emotion and Brazilian cultural references.
A concept inspired by the beginning of every idea
The concept explored the spark that appears before an idea takes shape: an internal impulse, a moment of attention and the desire to transform something familiar into something new.
Adapted from the global MOVE, sense the spark campaign for the Brazilian market, the booth translated this idea into a physical space that visitors could experience before fully understanding it.
Kinetic installations, curved architectural elements and subtle cultural references created a visual narrative that felt dynamic, emotional and closely connected to the local context.
“The spark is that instant when the known rearranges itself and begins to mean something else. It is born from listening, from a willingness to question and from connecting references that seemed distant. That is what we wanted to provoke in everyone who visited the booth,” explained Jessica Hori, Product and Marketing Manager at Impress.
Movement expressed through architecture
The booth’s asymmetric entrance created a strong first impression while remaining open and inviting.
Slats arranged in an irregular rhythm moved and twisted through the structure, forming arches that guided visitors naturally through the space and defined more private areas without the use of conventional partitions.
In the central area, a projection inspired by the movement of waves and light attracted attention from the exhibition aisles and introduced the concept before visitors entered the booth.
Movement also shaped the product presentation. Large decorative panels were displayed on a metal rail system that allowed them to rotate and move between one another. This created a more interactive presentation and encouraged visitors to experience the designs visually and through touch.
A warm atmosphere inspired by Brazil
At the heart of the booth, the social area became a place for conversations, meetings and shared moments throughout the fair.
The lounge bar combined freijó, a Brazilian wood, with rustic terracotta elements, stone textures, cementitious surfaces and tropical plants. Together, these materials created a warm and familiar atmosphere inspired by Brazilian culture and affective memory.
A menu featuring Brazilian gastronomy complemented the experience, while the meeting room provided a more private environment for conversations with clients and partners.
The result was more than an exhibition space. It became a welcoming environment where design, culture and personal interaction came together.
New surfaces and design directions
The collection presented at ForMóbile reflected some of the key directions currently shaping surface design in Brazil.
The launches included linear reinterpretations of traditional wood species, contemporary expressions of Brazilian woods, and stone- and fabric-inspired designs that expand the creative possibilities available for furniture and interior projects.
Presented within the dynamic booth environment, the new patterns demonstrated how colour, texture and materiality can generate new ideas and support diverse design applications.
Connections that keep ideas moving
Throughout ForMóbile 2026, the booth welcomed customers, partners, architects, designers and industry professionals, creating opportunities to exchange perspectives, discover new surfaces and discuss future possibilities.
The strong visitor response showed how the concept could move beyond its visual expression and become a shared experience shaped by curiosity, conversation and inspiration.
ForMóbile may have come to an end, but the connections, impressions and ideas created during the fair continue to move forward.
MOVE, sense the spark became a space where creation could be seen, touched and felt—and where every encounter had the potential to become the beginning of something new.
