Portas Abertas allows employees’ families to experience day-to-day routines at Impress
Impress Decor's Portas Abertas ("Open Doors”) event, which was held on November 9, was a special opportunity that allowed employees and their families to develop a closer connection to the work environment. The event was marked by activities aimed at promoting integration, learning opportunities and celebration. There were 156 people were present at Portas Abertas, including family members of 59 employees. The event allowed the company to open its doors and allowed each participant to learn more about the history, values and processes that are part of Impress Decor’s work routines.
The event schedule started with an institutional presentation, in which participants learned more about the trajectory of the company - which will be celebrating 25 years in Brazil in 2025. Portas Abertas scheduled events aimed were focused on employee development and well-being in addition to the company’s sustainability commitments. The presentation was fundamental in allowing visitors to better understand Impress Decor’s mission and vision and demonstrated how each employee is an essential part of a greater purpose, which includes investments in innovation and environmental responsibility.
After the presentation, families participated in a guided tour of the company’s factory, following the complete development cycle of an Impress product. This experience started in the design area, where family members learned about the process of researching trends and materials, understanding the importance of each stage, from analysis to layout design. Participants were able to closely observe production areas, including the manufacture of paints, cylinder production, printing, lab machine and impregnation and logistics processes. Each sector presented a unique aspect of the production process, demonstrating the care and dedication that go into each phase of development of the company's products.
In addition to learning more about Impress Decor’s production structure, family members also visited the company’s administrative areas. This visit offered greater insight into the support that each department offers for the company’s operations as a whole. At the end of the tour, employees and their families gathered in a specially prepared memory space that offered a dedicated backdrop for family photos and a social area. Activities such as face painting were a big draw with children.

"Portas Abertas" allowed Impress Decor to establish an even closer relationship with the people who are part of employees' lives, celebrating the value of family and welcoming these individuals into the workplace. Visitors had the chance to get an up close and personal look at see the company's commitment to its employees, as well those individuals that are directly related to them. "It was an important day for Impress, one where we opened the company's doors to our employees’ families and showed them a little bit more of the environment where they work and what we have achieved together. We believe that this approach strengthens bonds between the company, our employees and their families and places further value in the crucial role each employee plays in our journey. Seeing families learning more about the company’s processes, interacting with the spaces where we work and celebrating with us reinforces the importance of maintaining a welcoming and transparent environment,” Lady Faeda, HR manager at Impress, affirmed.
